Design Process

When our team designed to make an oujia board as our Alt Ctrl, I started to think about the mechanics that could be created with the control of a oujia board.

I struggled between making the oujia board as a regular moving controller by moving the planchette, or do we keep everything like a regular oujia board by letting players type.

I decided to move along with the second idea. To keep players more involved with the realistic oujia board QTE experience and our narrative storytelling to the tragedy happened in Cavendish Family.

Inspection on items are designed to help players gain a fuller understand of the narrative experience.
